You shut that thang down..

Well, today marks Day 30 of the 30-day trial.  I still love love LOVE blogging, but man.. I’ve definitely come to the conclusion that my lifestyle is no longer blog-friendly.  I’m home about 7 hours per day, including when I’m sleeping.. and I’m by the computer even less these days.

Part of me feels like I should be hanging up the blogging pumps on some “out of respect to the game..” stuff.  But then again.. maybe my schedule will change a bit after I move to this new spot (in a week or so).  Guess we’ll have to wait and see.  Give me another month. lol

Thank you, MJ.

I can’t believe it’s been a year.  I took him with me to Ghana in March. 🙂

Yessss.. My girls Bindi and Cherie finally wrapped their web series.  Check out the teaser.

Not sure which episode it’s in, but check for a cameo by yours truly.  Hey, extras need love too! 🙂

Also.. I couldn’t finish this post without adding the theme song from one of my old favorites.  No relation.

Kweli’s son Amani and Hi-Tek’s son Tone perform “The Blast” in Kansas City.  I love it.

Scooped directly from Kweli’s twitter post. 🙂

…oh wait.  I work on Saturdays and Sundays too.  Dah well, they sleep / we grind.

No real reason for that video.  Is that what dudes really do at slumber parties?  Because that would be.. excellent.

Today marks my 11th of 30 days in this back-to-blogging experiment.  I have to say, my mentality has returned to “oh man, I should totally post something about that when I get home” – but the amount of face-time I have with my computer these days is slim to none.  I failed to post yesterday, because yesterday went something like this:

1 hour of driving
3.5 hours of lecture
45ish minutes for lunch1 hour of training
4 hours of kids
1.5 hours of driving4 hours of lifting boxes and pulling/pushing pallets of containers around
1 hour of talking with my mom

…and then I passed out as soon as I got out of the shower, around 1am-ish.  I don’t even remember of the “ooh hey I should post that” topics.  Whatever they were, they’re probably not even e-relevant anymore.

Tonight is going to be a study/sleep party.  I don’t even know how to stop!

Be a man.. Do the right thing.

Haha after a long night out in West Hollywood, this song was stuck in my head on the drive home for some random reason.  I couldn’t fall asleep until I heard it a couple times.  Thought I’d share the randomness, especially because it involved one of my favorite Disney movies.  Get em girl!

Still breaking them in..

Just got in from a night out in my BOOTS boots.  Man oh MAN am I sore.  I don’t know how most ladies do it.. I can hoop all day and not get sore, but one night out on some heels and my body gets destroyed.  This song always helps me come down at the end of the night.

Thanks, Amy.

Pass the MSTRD to the left..

Yes, yes, and yes.  TiRon finally lets the internet have a taste of MSTRD, his second condiment project (download the first one here).  I’m so excited that everyone finally has a chance to hear all of the greatness that I’ve been hearing during our late-night Benito’s sessions.

I really believe that one of the best ways to get to know a person is by watching and listening to him as he does what he loves to do.  He makes music that is simultaneously pure, honest, gritty, and beautiful.  Every single song has been made with precision, passion, and attention to detail.  Enjoy!
